Changes
2024 Changing room 1:10, 1:20 and 1:1 model.
Across three weeks, I developed my project Changes; designed to playfully update the process of changing at the beach. When changing at the beach, it's often huddled behind a towel with some high risk involved. For my changing room, I wanted to add luxury comforts of fresh towels, full length mirrors, a modern outdoor shower and storage to hang clothes. However, the element of risk remain with the frosted circle changing room door, highlighting minimal privacy. As a communal space, the changing room aims for comfort with a reminder that you still aren't quite at home. The space therefore offers an elevated version of an experience we are all too familiar with.
Experimenting with glossy materials and repeating circle motif's throughout, my space feels bright and fresh. The feature mosaic tile wall adds a pop of colour and helps to distinguish between the changing area and the communal space.
